ATRYS Oncology - IMOR

Atrys IMOR is a monographic centre specialising in oncology patient care. Dedicated to carrying out treatments in the speciality of Radiotherapy Oncology, it is committed to performing them in accordance with the highest internationally accepted quality standards. It began its activity in 1999 and since then has attended to more than 13,000 patients.

Our work revolves around three fundamental pillars for patients and for us: facilitating your recovery and supporting you with outstanding professionals through the latest technological advances.

Precision medicine, prevention, prediction and personalised medicine are the fundamental pillars that must be supported in order to provide adequate and comprehensive care for cancer patients.

The monographic centres that make up our Atrys Oncology Network in Spain, Switzerland and Portugal offer cancer patients a comprehensive response, with the best specialists and the most advanced diagnostic and treatment resources available.

Atrys IMOR has the most modern and up-to-date external radiotherapy and brachytherapy equipment, performing treatments according to the best state of the art. Most of the external radiotherapy treatments are carried out using the IMRT technique combined with IGRT, Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy and Image Guided Radiotherapy, the most precise technique currently available, which increases cures while reducing side effects and minimising complications.

Among the Radiotherapy techniques it has introduced in Spain the Rapid Arc technique, which even improves IMRT by shortening treatment time, and the recently introduced SBRT technique which offers spectacular results in the treatment of lung tumours and distant metastases located in the vicinity of critical organs.

Atrys IMOR stands out not only for the high quality of the medical treatments it provides, but also for the human treatment it offers. Proof of this is the high level of satisfaction of the patients we treat as well as the insurance companies that refer their patients to us, some of which have recognised us as their reference centre.

In short, at Atrys Oncology we firmly believe in incorporating new technologies into daily clinical practice as soon as possible, as long as we have previously ensured that their use is justified and benefits the patient. We have to make sure that from the first moment their application is carried out properly, without learning curves, which is why important continuous training is necessary. In order for these techniques to be applied, it is necessary to have adequate reimbursement, so that they can be incorporated as they arise. Our staff is scientifically active, participating in the most important congresses in the speciality, presenting their scientific work and publishing their results in high impact journals in the speciality. Finally, the work of Atrys oncology must be adequately disseminated so that the authorities, payers, patients, healthcare staff and the general public are aware of its existence and can come to it for as many consultations as they deem necessary.

For all this to become a reality, EFFORT is needed, which Atrys IMOR is committed to do.
